SEM
Self-cleaning Electromagnets

Designed to Intercept. Built to Last.
The SEM (Self Cleaning Electromagnet) and MEM (Manual Cleaning Electromagnet) are heavy-duty suspension electromagnet separators designed to extract tramp ferrous metal from bulk material streams — protecting downstream equipment and maintaining product purity in high-throughput processing environments. Available in convection cooled, oil cooled, and air cooled configurations, the range spans coil power ratings from 4 kW to 80 kW and unit weights from 1,400 kg to 21,500 kg, covering a wide spectrum of operational requirements.
The SEM series features either a two-pulley or four-pulley self-cleaning belt system that continuously discharges captured ferrous material without interrupting production, while the MEM series offers a robust manual cleaning alternative suited to lower-throughput or space-constrained installations. Engineered for the demands of mining, minerals processing, quarrying, and bulk material handling, these separators are typically mounted over conveyor systems to intercept stray iron and steel before it reaches crushers, screens, or processing plant equipment — reducing costly damage, unplanned downtime, and maintenance burden.
